Therapy for women in Philadelphia
Relief from anxiety, family conflict, and dysfunctional relationships

You're looking for lasting changes.
You need a space where someone listens closely, names what’s really happening, and helps you act on what’s true. Maybe you’re juggling a demanding job, a messy tie to a parent, and a relationship that looks fine on paper but feels off. Maybe you're looking to create new dynamics to ease the stress of pregnancy or parenting. You might be people-pleasing, overthinking, or arguing the same argument. You’ve read the books and tried the skills. You need something that will work long term, not another week of white-knuckling it.
In our work, you’ll begin to:
- See the pattern beneath your stuck places (family, love, sex, work) and why it keeps returning
- Set boundaries you can live with — and tolerate the guilt that sometimes follows
- Stop aiming for impossible standards and move from agency instead of fear
- Speak clearly about desire, including non-monogamy or rekindling pleasure with yourself or a partner
- Make structural changes that last, not just feel better for a week
Hi, I'm Courtney.
I help women who are thoughtful, curious, and done pretending. Many of my clients are Philly professionals with big brains and bigger standards. Some are queer, some are exploring kink or non-monogamy, many are untangling long histories with parents while building careers and relationships that actually fit.
I’ve been studying psychoanalysis since high school and continue formal training because the deep work matters to me. I’m also a trained sexuality educator, a mom, a falconer, and someone who believes therapy should be a place where you can say the quiet parts out loud. My style is steady and direct. No over-cheerleading. I listen closely, reflect honestly, and ask questions that open the door to desire, responsibility, and choice.
Many of the clients I work with arrive in an anxious stuckness: holding everything together, second-guessing themselves, and running the same loops with a partner or parent. You might want clarity about what you actually want, language to say it, and support to tolerate what changes when you do.
We’ll slow down and follow what matters. I’ll help you name the pattern, ask what it protects, and decide what you’re willing to risk or release to move toward the life you want. This isn’t symptom-management alone; we work for structural change in how you choose, relate, and live. Sessions are confidential, non-judgmental, and oriented toward agency.
